Despite having conquered a sizable challenge when it made its theatrical debut on July 7, Jose Kuruvinakunnel, who is located in Pala, appears to be giving Prithviraj Sukumaran's Kaduva no break. Having been plagued by legal problems since its inception, the movie is once again in danger, this time for allegedly breaching a court order to change the protagonist's name from Kuruvachan. Jose has filed a new appeal with the High Court to prevent the OTT release of the action comedy. Here's everything you need to know about the Kaduva OTT Release Date.
The Pala native Jose Kuruvinakunnel, also known by his stage as Kuruvachan, said that the plot of the movie Kaduva is based on his life and that, if it is published, it will bring shame upon him and his family. Jose, who had previously filed a complaint alleging that the filmmakers were attempting to defame him and his family with the work, has now appeared in court claiming that the protagonist's name had been changed from Kuruvachan to Kuriyachan in the versions of the film that were screened in Indian theatres.
The version that is being aired internationally, however, allegedly still contains the term Kuruvachan. Jose also offered proof of the movie's showings in the US and the United Arab Emirates to back up his accusations against the directors. Jose now wants to stop the film's OTT distribution. It was written and directed by Jinu Abraham, and both Shaji Kailas and Jose deny that Jose is ever mentioned in the plot of the work.
Kaduva was involved in several controversies in addition to this one. After the film's debut, people called attention to a significant problem with it because one of its segments would offend parents and children with disabilities. After formally apologizing for the event, the filmmakers recut the movie to cut out the divisive passage.
Amazon Prime Video purchased the film's digital streaming rights. Surya TV is the recipient of the movie's satellite rights. On August 4, 2022, Amazon Prime Video will provide the movie for digital streaming.
