Foldable iPhone: Apple's clamshell-like folding iPhone is in early stage, Reports

Apple’s first foldable iPhone could be one step closer to launch a report published in English daily says. Reports are also claiming that Apple is working on clamshell-like folding iPhone in Shenzhen, China and could roll the foldable iPhone in 2023.

According to the media reports, Apple is in early stage and working on to roll-out its first foldable iPhone. Clamshell-like folding iPhone prototypes have passed internal tests at the Shenzhen factory in China. The durability tests are conducted successfully for the foldable iPhone, a report from Taiwanese media

It is also added that there were two different prototypes which were reportedly sent for the test at the Foxconn factory in Shenzhen, China. One of them was a dual-screen model prototype and the other a clamshell-like foldable that is similar to Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip.

Earlier, Jon Prosser a Youtuber in his video, dated 28 December claimed about the development of clamshell-like foldable iPhone. He said that "Apple is working on a clamshell-like folding iPhone, that falls in line". He had also claimed that Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected to be launched in 2023.

He said that the work is in early stages right now. He also shared a concept image of the folding iPhone, which shows that the rumoured iPhone may have a flip-like design.

As per the report by a Taiwanese publication Money, the two prototype phones have passed the internal tests for durability at the Foxconn factory in Shenzhen. It is also being said that the Apple's second prototype, the clamshell model, may use a flexible Samsung OLED display.

The report predicts that a foldable iPhone will debut by early 2023, however reports differ on the dates of roll-out.
