US President Biden signs 15 executive orders, Reverses various Trump's Policies

Biden takes the first step towards reversing some of the most controversial policies adopted by the Trump administration. President Biden also puts an end to the Muslim ban, terminates the construction of the wall near the Mexican Border among others.

Joe Biden was sworn in as the USA’s 46th President on Wednesday. After taking charge of the White House, Biden takes the first step towards reversing some of the most controversial policies adopted by the Trump administration. Biden has signed 15 executive orders reversing some of the key defense policies and national security decisions taken by the Former President.

“I'm proud of today's executive actions, and I'm going to start by keeping the promises I made to the American people. A long way to go. These are just executive actions. They are important, but we're going to need legislation for a lot of the things we're going to do” stated Joe Biden while signing the orders.

The president said he will be signing a number of executive orders over the next several days of the week.

President Biden also put an end to the Muslim ban, a policy which was adopted by Trump to curb growing radical Islamist influence in the country. Biden sent a proclamation effective immediately to stop the further construction of the previous administration's border wall.

 Jennifer Rene Psaki, a political advisor in the current Biden administration said that building a wall around the Mexican border is a wastage of Millions of US dollars and hence should be terminated.
