UP Board Syllabus for Class 9-12 Reduced by 30%, Model Papers Out at upmsp.edu.in

UPMSP has reduced the syllabus for classes 9 to 12 by 30% for the ongoing 2021-22 session. The Madhyamik Pariksha Board has also released the modal test papers for 2021-22 based on the reduced syllabus at its website upmsp.edu.in.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Siksha Parishad (UPMSP) has reduced the syllabus by 30% for classes 9 to 12 for the academic session 2021-22. The reduced syllabus has been published on the official website of the state board upmsp.edu.in. The students appearin in annual exams 2021-22 of class 9 to 12, may check the revised syllabus along with modal papers.

The decision is taken reviewing the academic loss caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The UPMSP has published a class-wise list of chapters, topics that have been deleted from the syllabus. 2022 UP board exams for Classes 10 and 12 will be based on this reduced syllabus.

The UPMSP in August announced the 2021-22 academic calendar according to which Class 10 and Class 12 board exams in 2022 will be conducted in February-March. Furthermore, the annual exams for Classes 10 and 12 are scheduled for the fourth week of March 2022 and Practicals will begin in the third week of February.

UP Board Class 10 and 12 half-yearly exams will be conducted in November 2021. The practical exams will begin from the 2nd week and theory exams from the third week. Results will be published by the second week of December. Teaching-learning activities for classes 9-12 will be completed by January 15.

In view of the second wave of COVID-19, the Uttar Pradesh board, like most of the state and central boards, had decided to cancel the annual exams for Class 10 and Class 12. Later, it decided to hold supplementary and compartment exams as a one-time measure. The results were declared using students’ performance in previous exams
