Happy Chhath Puja 2020: Chhath Puja is one of the most important festivals for Hindu people which is celebrated after six days of Diwali in which people worship the God Sun. This festival is majorly celebrated in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and few parts of Nepal. Chhat Puja is celebrated in the month of October and November to pray for peace, wealth, and prosperity of the family. This year Chhath Puja is celebrated on November 20, 2020. 

On this holy festival, people pay respect, gratitude, and worship the God Sun and his sister Shashti Devi who is also famously known as Chhathi Maiya. People thank them for showering them with blessings and progress. Chhath Puja is also known as  Surya Shashti, Chhath, Chhathi, Chhath Parv, Dala Puja, and Dala Chhath. On this day, people fast, avoid food and water and take a holy dip in water bodies such as ponds or rivers, and offer prayers when the sun rises and when it settles.
