On this day Sun God (Surya Dev) is worshipped for the happy life of children and family. Chhath Puja takes place every year on the Shashthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of the month. This year Chhath Puja is on 20 November i.e. Friday. Chhath Puja begins two days before Chaturthi on Nahay Khay, then Lohnda and Kharna are performed on Panchami. After that, Chhath Puja is done on Shashti Tithi, in which the evening arghya is offered to the Sun God. After this, the next day, Saptami offers himself to the rising sun at sunrise and then Paraná completes the fast.

First day - Nahai-Khay
Chhath Puja begins on Kartik Shukla Chaturthi. This is the first day of Chhath Puja, on this day there is a bath. This year Nahay-Khay is on 18 November (Wednesday). On this day, sunrise will be at 06:46 in the morning and sunrise in the evening at 05:26.
The second day - Lohanda and Kharna
Lohanda and Kharna Chhath is the second day of worship. It happens on the fifth day of the bright fortnight of Kartik month. On this day, the sunrise will be at 06:47 in the morning and the sunrise will be at 05:26 in the evening.
Third day- Chhath Puja (Sandhya Arghya)
The main day of Chhath Puja is on the Shashti Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. Chhath Puja is done on this day only. Arghya is offered to the Sun in the evening on this day, Chhath Puja is on 20 November this year. On this day, the sunrise will be at 06:48 and the sunrise will be at 05:26. Shashti Tithi for Chhath Puja starts from 19:59 pm on November 19, which is till 09:29 on 20 November.
Fourth day- Sunrise Arghya (Day of Paran)
The last day of Chhath Puja is the seventh day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. On this day, Arghya is offered to Sun God at sunrise. After that, the fast is completed bypassing it. This year, Sunrise Arghya and Parana of Chhath Puja will take place on November 21. On this day, sunrise will be at 06:49 in the morning and at sunset in the evening at 05:25.
