Stone pelting at Pakistani high court, Judge besieged by protestors for more than 1 hour.

According to recent reports, on Feb 8th, a group of Pakistani lawyers started protesting in front of a Pakistani high court against the removal of illegal chambers in the court area. Things became violent when protestors started pelting stones at the complex.

As per recent reports, Islamabad lawyers protested in front of Chief Justice Islamabad High Court, Athar Minallah's Courtroom earlier today. Pakistani lawyers began protesting in front of the High court after the government passed a decision to remove illegal chambers in the court area. 

The situation deteriorated when the protesting lawyers began throwing stones at the Court complex. The High court judge had to remain in siege for more than one hour. Protestors entered the Chief Justice‘s chambers and thoroughly ransacked it. They also forced the IHC judges to leave their courtrooms. Moreover, they misbehaved with media personnel.

As of now all courtrooms at the court have stopped functioning, with the lawyers and other visitors being restrained from entering its premises currently.
