The students who appear in the DU SOL OBE Exams 2021 are given a time duration of 3+1 hours for all students except the PWD or Divyang category to attempt the examination. Additional 60 minutes are given for late submission. Limit of uploading each file for answer scripts on the portal is 7 MB.

DU SOL OBE Exams 2021 Begins Today at Online Portal; Check Details

Delhi University, School of Open Learning (DU SOL) on Tuesday, November 30 starts Online Open Book Examinations (OBE) August 2021 session online on its portal solobe.uod.ac.in. SOL conducts Undergraduate BA Program and Hons 5th Semester exams on Tuesday. The four-hour duration examination was attempted by the thousands of students online at the SOL DU OBE portal. The open-book examinations are scheduled to be held in December 2021 for final-year students.

Upon logging at the portal students can take the SOL OBE exam. A step-by-step guide for taking the open-book examination at DU Portal is given below.

SOL OBE Portal Login Page:

Students appearing for the SOL OBE Examinations are required to register themselves on the DU portal. Initially, they have to fill in their basic details like name, enrolment number (optional), course name, date of birth, examination roll number, registered E-mail, or mobile phone number.

Upon submission of the above details, the students will receive a password on their registered E-mail/Mobile number. Students for the first time will require to insert a password to login into the portal. Students can login with their Examination roll number and password to locate the mock test paper.

December 03: B.A. HONS ENGLISH from 09:30 AM-12:30 PM.

December 02: SOL is going to conduct B.A Programme and B.Com Semester 5 open-book-exams today, on December 02, 2021. The exam will take place from 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM with a time duration of 3 hours.

November 30: The examination for B.A Hons and B.A Program 5th Semester was held successfully. 

On the final OBE exam date, students are required to log in to the examination portal with their examination roll number and password at least 30 minutes prior to the start of their examination. Once the student login to the portal, a clock on the students’ screen will display the time left in for the opening of the question paper. The question paper download button will be visible at the beginning of the examination. The paper will be released on the portal at the commencement of a particular session of examination as per the date sheet released by Delhi University.

Students are required to click on the download button to download the question paper on the Desktop/ Laptop/ or Phone and can also take the printout if required on the day of the examination. If a student faces any difficulty in downloading the question paper from the portal, the student may request her/ his college/ department or Nodal officers, to get the same on the designated e-mail or phone number. In such a situation, the department shall send the question paper directly to the student’s e-mail address, phone, or WhatsApp. 

Students should read the instructions printed on the question paper for which they are appearing. The total duration of the examination shall be of 4 hours (6 hours for Divyangs). The duration will include 3 hours for answering the questions and one additional hour for technical activities such as downloading the question paper, scanning and uploading the answer sheets. Additional 60 minutes for late submission.

If uploading is not possible for any reason during the given time as mentioned above, students can take extra 60 minutes time to upload their scripts; however, all such submissions will be subject to scrutiny by a committee. Students can submit their script to the Nodal Officers by email only if the submission through portal is not possible. However, this option should be used only in case of extreme situations only, read official instructions.

Answering the SOL OBE Exam 2021:

  • Students have to write the answers to the questions on A-4 size white papers in their own handwriting (ruled or plain). The answers are to be written using a black or blue pen only.
  • Students have to write their name, program name, semester, examination roll number, unique paper code, paper title, date and time of examination on the first sheet used for answers.

Students should use separate sheets to answer each question, since answer sheets are to be uploaded on the Portal question-wise so that evaluation can be conducted smoothly.

Uploading of Answer Sheet at OBE Portal:

The students will scan the written pages of the answers question-wise (one PDF file for each question) and upload each file on the OBE portal. The size of each file should not exceed 7 MB. To upload the answer sheet, the students have to log in to the examination portal and select the tab “Upload Answers”. In case if by mistake, a student uploads a wrong answer sheet she/he can make corrections within the specified duration of the OBE. 

Once the students upload all the scanned answer sheets against their respective questions, they should click the button for the UFM declaration and confirmation for submission and log out from the portal. On successful submission of the answer sheets, the students will be notified via email or SMS.
