Dozens of drones crash into a building in SW China due to malfunction: Report

On Jan 27th, around 100 drones crashed into a building during a show in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, no injuries were reported. The incident resulted in huge economic losses for the show designers.

Drones crashed into a building in Southwest China

About 100 drones lost control and crashed into a building during a show in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on Monday night. According to a video and photos circulated on the internet, a large group of drones with flashing blue lights displayed abnormal actions during the performance. 



According to  the local sources, dozens of drones moved slowly towards the building, with some crashing into it and others directly dropping from the air to the ground and falling into the river. Several people said that event organizers were not able to control the drones.

A person familiar with the matter later disclosed that a crash in the mainframe control led to the incident, in which up to 100 drones lost control and malfunctioned. Although there were no injuries, the incident resulted in huge economic losses for the show designers.
