With Varisu, Vijay is back on the big screen and suffered the setback when Beast failed to live up to expectations. The film is co-written and directed by Vaashi Paidipally a popular director known for his Telugu films like Maharshi, Munna, Oopiri, Brindavanam, and Yevadu.

In the opposite of Thalapathy, Pushpa and Geeta Govindam fame Rashmika Mandanna is playing the lead role.

Alongside the main leads, Prakash Raj, Khushbu, Prabhu, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, R. Sarathkumar, and Sangeetha Krish play the supporting roles, whereas Mahesh Babu has a cameo in the movie.

Varisu Box Office Collection Day 1: Budget Of The Film 

Vijay’s latest film Varisu is made at a monumental budget of Rs 200 Crores and is slated to release simultaneously in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu at the theatres in just three days. This movie has become quite expensive after paying out the cast member’s salaries.

Varisu is Rs 50 Crores costlier than Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Beast 'which was his last release in 2022 and this movie uncertainly did not do great numbers at the box office.

As per the trade reports flowing in, the film is already slaying. The stardom of Vijay could be seen clearly in the advance bookings report. Vijay's Varisu tickets are selling like hotcakes in Chennai.

The first-day collections of Varisu will surely create a record at the box office. 

For its first day which will be on 11th January, Varisu has earned 2.34 crores gross from its advance booking tickets. Also, the film’s worldwide theatrical rights are valued at 142 crores.

The advance booking reports and craze for Vijay have already proves his box office pull will be great for his loyal fans. However, it will clash with ‘Thunivu’ Ajith Kumar’s power-packed action film is to be released on 11th January with Varisu.
