Major Media Websites- New York Times, CNN, Bloomberg & Guardian Go Down after Technical Glitch

Major media websites including New York Times, Financial Times, CNN, Bloomberg News and Guardian websites have crashed for reasons. Preliminary reports suggest a technical glitch in a private CDN is causing outage.

A number of major government and media websites currently not working, including Guardian, FT, Independent, Bloomberg, CNN and New York Times. Preliminary reports allege problems with cloud computing provider and private CDN.

"New York Times, CNN, among other international news websites, are down, preliminary reports suggest a technical glitch in a private CDN (Content Delivery Network) causing outage, more details awaited", news agency ANI reported.

According to Business Week, among other services that face major halt include -Amazon Web Services, New York Times, Reddit, The U.K. government's website, Spotify -Twitch-Twitter-GitHub.

CNN and France’s Le Monde also started showing error messages that appeared on the websites at around 10:00 GMT. Al Jazeera Media Network was also affected, says Al Jazeera English in a series of tweets.
