Jammu & Kashmir: As per reports two terrorists have been eliminated in the ongoing encounter in Sharshali Khrew area of Awantipora. Updates have come out that in Awantipora the hard core militant and Hizbul top comandar Riaz Naiku has been eliminated by security forces. On Wednesday security forces trapped the top terrorists' commander in an operation and eliminated. Contact established in the third operation in Beighpor area of Awantipora, intimated that Top terrorist commander is trapped and between heavy exchange of firing the terrorists have neutralized. At the time of report, exchange of heavy fire was on, as per Jammu & Kashmir Police sources.
Hizbul Mujahideen's commander Riyaz Naikoo killed in encounter in J-K's Beighpora. Along with Hizbul top Commander, another terrorist killed in the encounter in Beighpora. Operation going on. Further details shall follow, said Kashmir Zone Police.
Hizbul commander Riaz Naiku was the top of Hizbul terrorists group and was active immensely in recruiting local youth in Kashmir. On Wednesday operation was launched by Security Forces along with J&K Police and successively trapped the hard core terrorist in Awantipora. According to reports from sources on May 6, third operation launched by Awantipora Police on Tuesday night on a specific input which was in progress and might continue further during day, said J&K Police. In other report is updated that One unidentified terrorist has been killed in the operation that is underway in Beighpor area of Awantipora. Neutralization of Hizbul commander in the valley, Riyaz Naikoo is certainly a very big success for our security forces. I congratulate Rashtriya Rifles of Indian army , CRPF and J and K police. He had blood of innocent Kashmiris on his hands', BJP National General Secretary, Ram Madhav said.
The encounter began on Tuesday and continued till Wednesday. According to the sources, army officials did not resort to firing immediately. However, it surrounded the area and blocked all entry and exit points. After some time, Naikoo started firing at the officials, after which he was shot dead. At first, the security officials didn't know whether he was Naikoo or some other terrorist but after some time, it was revealed that he was the terrorist who was on a run from past 8 years. The search operation had been going on from past 2 days. The encounter of Naikoo has come out to be as a relief for the armed forces as he was the man behind many terrorist activities. Acting on the specific inputs about a high-value target, security forces cordoned off the Beighpora area and started the operation late Tuesday evening. When the forces were closing in on the target, they came under heavy fire. In the ensuing encounter, Naikoo was killed, police sources said.
On other hand in Jammu & Kashmir, Mobile internet services suspended in Kashmir valley on Wednesday, as a precautionary measure in wake of the encounter underway in Awantipora where top terrorist commander was trapped. Source: ANI

Heavy Stone Pelting in Area where Riaz Naiku has been neutralized. According to sources Joint troops recovered bodies of 2 terrorists on Wednesday after an encounter, among them one has been identified as Hizbul Commander Riyaz Naikoo. Search is continues and heavy stone pelting going on, said Central Reserve Police Force.
