The U.S. Ambassador to India, Kenneth I. Juster, delivering a farewell address on the U.S.-India partnership gets emotional. The speech highlighting the contributions and achievements that have strengthened bilateral ties between the world’s two largest democracies, concluded with emotional note. As a part of the speech, Ambassador Juster announced the release of a book - 'U.S.-India Partnership: Ambition and Achievement'. The book is expected to be made available online in the coming weeks, Observer Research Foundation says.
"How the people from all over the country received me as a representative of United States with kindness, respect, great warmth and tremendous generosity. It is a daily reminder that how far we have come in US-India relationsip, how much we have achieved as a result of our ambition and how this relationship has made a positive impact on individuals across both the countries," Juster says with emotions.
Emphasizing on the cooperation between the two countries in last four years said that the Indo-Pacific is particularly significant for US-India relationship because it recognised the reality that India and Indian ocean are inextricably tied to East Asia and Pacific. The concept of Indo-Pacific has been many years in the making. It is in the past four years that our countries have shown the ambition to turn it into reality.

On Trade: Indian Govt couldn't provide more-convergent environment for fair trade. We couldn't sign a small pact. "There are frictions and frustration on the trade and investment front. Despite persistent efforts, we are unable to conclude even a small trade package. Moreover, there are growing restrictions in India &market access for certain US goods & services", Ken Juster, US Envoy to India.
As US and other companies find it increasingly difficult to operate in China or seek to diversify way from Chinese led supply chains. India has strategic opportunity to become an alternative manufacturing destination in Indo-Pacific region, Juster added.

More than 50% of international trade passes through its water. Region is rich in natural resources & is fast becoming centre of gravity of evolving international system.
In 2017 President Trump described the US vision as for a free and open Indo-Pacific. As one as sovereign and independent nations with diverse cultures can prosper side by side and thrive in freedom and peace, says Ken Juster.
