Just a day after Republic Day and Delhi Violence, another attack has been made on the security forces, this time place of attack is Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir. It has been reported that while the Indian army soldiers were guarding a road opening ceremony on a highway at Shamshipura in Kulgam district, terrorists launched a grenade attack injuring 4 army personnel.
Terrorists lobbed grenades on Army's Road Opening Party during the sanitization drill at 1015 hours today in general area Shamshipura, Khanabal, Kulgam. Four soldiers sustained splinter injuries. Provided first aid and have been evacuated to 92 Base Hospital," Colonel Rajesh Kalia, the Army's spokesperson said.

On January 3, Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army's 34 Rashtriya Rifles had arrested a terror associate of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) for being involved in providing shelter, logistics, and other support to terrorists, which included transportation of arms and explosive material Kulgam.
