Swarnim Vijay Varsh: PM Modi pays tribute, lights up Swarnim Vijay Mashaal on 50th Anniversary of Indo-Pak War

On the occasion of Swarnim Vijay Varsh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays tributes to the martyred soldiers at National War Memorial, Delhi. Country on 16th December celebrates 'Swarnim Vijay Varsh' on India's victory in 1971 India-Pakistan war.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays tribute at National War Memorial on the 50th-anniversary of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. PM also pays tribute to the fallen soldiers at National War Memorial on the 50th-anniversary. After getting the salutation from soldiers present at National War Memorial, PM lights up 'Swarnim Vijay Mashaal' at the National War Memorial.

On the occassion, Four 'Victory Mashaals' (flames) lit from the eternal flame of National War Memorial will be carried to various parts of the country including to villages of Param Vir Chakra and Maha Vir Chakra awardees of 1971 war.

Tribute to the fallen soldiers also paid by the Air warriors displaying Trishul formation in sky.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also unveiled the logo for 'Swarnim Vijay Varsh' to mark the 50th-anniversary of the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
