Union Health Secry Preeti Sudan writes to Chief Secys of all states/UTs, designating dists across all states/ UTs as Red, Orange & Green Zones. On Friday Health Secretary writes to administrations of all states to designate all districts in three zones as May 3 is approaching near. Several states have already provided data on Red, Orange & Green zones splitting districts. In the message Health Secretary Preeti Sudan intimated the provided list of states & districts come under Red, Orange & Green Zones as on May 1, 2020.
States including U.P, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, West Bengal have provided district wise list of all three zones.
As per official intimation Union Health Secretary on Wednesday writes to all state local administrations to work on 3 zonal protocol and designate districts in Red, Orange & Green Zones. Several states working on the same have provided & others are asked to submit designated district wise zonal formula. Since recovery rates have gone up, distritcs are now being designated across various zones duly broad-basing the criteria, said Union Health Secy Preeti Sudan
According to Union Health Secy. in buffer zones, extensive surveillance for cases through monitoring of ILI/ SARI cases in health facilities has to be taken up. States are requested to delineate the containment zones & buffer zones in the identified red and orange zone districts and notify the sam. Preeti Sudan also urged administrations to work on said formula soon.
By April 30, Covid19 positive cases in India surged to 35,042. Whereas 1,993 COVID-19 cases, 73 deaths reported in the last 24 hours in India, said Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
