Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to two farmers who died during the ongoing farmers' protest. Singh has reiterated his opposition during the meeting with Home Minister over the farm laws.

Farmers' Protest: Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the two farmers, hailing from districts Mansa and Moga respectively, who died during ongoing Farm law protests, confirmed Chief Minister's Office, Punjab. Earlier, according to media reports two farmers from Punjab state Mansa and Moga districts, died during the protests against farm laws.

The state Chief Minister is in Delhi and met Home Minister Amit Shah over the ongoing Farmers' protest in Delhi over farm laws.

After the meeting Singh said "I Reiterated my opposition in my meeting with Home Minister & requested him to resolve the issue as it affects the economy of my state & security of the nation".
