Senior Congress leader and General Secretary of UP West Priyanka Gandhi lashed out at Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government for not letting people raise their voice even against scams and corruption.
UP govt doesn't let you raise your voice even in the face of scams and corruption. We can either stay silent so that there will be no change or we raise our voice and ask them questions. Is the CM taking responsibility? There should be transparent, concrete action: Priyanka GV https://t.co/E6L7XLXlWI— ANI (@ANI) June 9, 2020
She alleged that the UP govt doesn't let people raise their voices even in the face of scams and corruption.
"We can either stay silent so that there will be no change or we raise our voice and ask them questions. Is the CM taking responsibility? There should be transparent, concrete action," opined Gandhi.
Gandhi alleged that the recruitment of 69000 government teachers is a big scam of UP government. The examination for the recruitment was held last year on 6th January 2019 and results were declared almost one and half years later on 12th May 2020.
"The recruitment scam of 69,000 teachers in UP is not ordinary, its UP's Vyapam scam. Students' names in the diaries, money transactions, large manipulation of examination centers, involvement of racket in these wrongdoings - show that its wires are connected at many places," said Gandhi.
After Gandhi aggressively questioned the UP government, the Allahabad High Court had stayed the appointment of all 69000 assistant basic teachers in UP and stated that there had been an error in the evaluation of question papers.
Gandhi also held video conferencing the students who were appeared in the examination. She also has shown her concern about the arrest of the students.
"I got to know this morning that the topper was arrested, some were arrested yesterday. If this exam was conducted fairly then why are people being arrested? Why are these issues coming up again and again?" Gandhi questioned the UP government.
