Janta Curfew' to be observed in the state from 8 pm to 6 am till 10th August, said Chief Minister of Goa. In view of rising COVID19 cases in state, Goa Chief Minister on Wednesday announces to impose Janta Curfew from 8 pm in night to 6 am in morning. The Janta Curfew in state will be obsered from today and to last on August 10, said Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa state.
On Wednesday during the interaction with the media personnel, Goa Chief Minister announced to call Janta Curfew in state from 15th July onwards. The decision is taken after reviewing the current situation of Coronavirus. During the Janta Curfew 2.0 in Goa state only medical services to be allowed, he added.
The State Chief Minister also said that “The 'Janta Curfew' will be observed from today. The Curfew will last on August 10.
Complete Lockdown in Goa: Declaring the Janta Curfew, Goa Chief Minister said that in state a Complete lockdown will be imposed on Friday, Saturday & Sunday this week. Goa becomes sixth state after Bihar, Maharashtra Karntaka, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal who have taken another phases of partial lockdown in some parts of states.

In the state of Goa so far 2753 Covid19 cases have been reported as per Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW). Currently 1128 cases are active in state, 1607 patients have been cured/ discharged and migrated. A total 18 casualties have been reported in state.
