As per the Reports Jammu & Kashmir witnessed a record breaking Voting for the Block Development Council Elections. From Pulwama, Kupwara, Shopian to Kargil Block Development Council elections successfully held on Thursday and recorded overall 98 percent voting and its a historic said officials. All terror hitted areas in past in South Kashmir recorded fantastic voting on Thursday and as per estimations BJP seems to bag 81 blocks in J&K which is also breathetaking. After revoking Article 370 on August 5, by Central Government these elections were first of its kind and this gave a great signal said officials. Based on the latest updates Result for the Jammu & Kashmir Block Development Council Elections (BDC Elections) 2019 is pending. As per assumptions Independent Candidates may cross Two Hundred Mark & BJP likely to be around 100 mark in BDC Elections.
Jammu & Kashmir Chief Electoral Officer, Shailendra Kumar on social media tweeted that overall 98 percent voting casted in BDC Elections 2019 in Jammu & Kashmir & Shrinagar recorded the highest percentage whereas at Pulwama & Shopian voting dipped to 85 percent. The overall voting in Block Development Elections 2019 was hiked in percentage and numbers in comparison to all previous BDC Elections as per reports.
And as per estimations made Block Development Council (BDC) election results are likely to be declarated soon by J&K Chief Electoral Officer. As per official announement made by CEO J&K the party wise position looks like- BJP 81 blocks, Indian National Congress 1 block, Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party 8 block, BSP 0 block and Independents are getting 217 blocks out of total 307.
