India suspends flights from UK after new strain of coronavirus found in UK. The Government of India has temporarily suspended the UK Flights to India till 31st December 2020 in view of the new strain of Covid.

The Indian Government has taken this decision in the wake of new strain of Coronavirus in UK. The Government of India is keeping all eyes on the latest development on the UK Strain Virus and further decision in view of the UK Strain Virus shall be taken soon.

"Considering the prevailing situation in the UK, Indian govt has decided that all flights originating from the UK to India shall be temporarily suspended till 11:59 pm, 31st December. This suspension to start w.e.f. 11.59 pm, 22nd December", tweets Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Ministry of Civil Aviation also adds that as a measure of abundant precaution, passengers arriving from UK in all transit flights (flights that have taken off or flights which are reaching India before 22nd Dec at 11.59 pm) should be subject to mandatory RT-PCR test on arrival at airports.

In the meantime, all the passengers landing in India shall be put to undergo Mandatory RT-PCR Tests, to prevent deteriorating impact of UK virus strain.
