Farmers' Protest: Farmers call for Bharat Bandh on 8th December, warn of blocking remaining roads

After two rounds of unfruitful meetings between the farmer leaders and the central government with no developmental outcome in eyes, the Farmers have called for Bharat Bandh on 8th December 2020. The Union Government has also suggested the Farmer Leaders to form a Committee for offering suggestion to ensure positive outcome.

After 2 rounds of the meeting held between the Farmer Leaders and the Government on abolishing or revoking the new farm laws, the Farmers have called for "Bharat Bandh" on December 8.

"One-day Bharat Bandh has been called on December 8 to protest against the three farm laws. Tomorrow, we will attend the meeting called by the government, said Farmer leader Rakesh Tikat. According to reports, farmers have alwo warned of blocking remaining roads of Delhi. "We have planned to block remaining roads of Delhi", farmer leader Harvinder Singh Lakhwal said on Friday.

There have been 2 unconclusive rounds of meeting between the farmer leaders and the government, where the farmers protesting the New farm bills had suggested the Government of India to convene a Special Parliament for abolishing the new Farm Bills.
