In a horrifying incident, a pregnant wild elephant died in Kerala after cracker filled pineapple exploded in her mouth. A hungry wild elephant entered a village in the fringe areas of the Silent Valley in Attappadi where a man offered her a pineapple filled with crackers. As per a senior forest officer, the pineapple filled with crackers exploded in the elephant's mouth and due to which her jaw was broken. She was unable to eat after that and died in a river with extreme pain. This inhuman act didn't go well with the people all across the country and social media is flooded with the messages to condemn this incident.
Speaking to PTI Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden Surendrakumar said " Her jaw was broken and she was unable to eat after she chewed the pineapple and it exploded in her mouth. It is certain that she was offered the pineapple filled with crackers to eliminate her."
Animal Rights activists and senior BJP leader Maneka Gandhi expressed her anger in conversation with ANI. She also blamed that Malappuram is famous for inhumanity. "It's murder, Malappuram is famous for such incidents, it's India's most violent district. For instance, they throw poison on roads so that 300-400 birds & dogs die at one time," said Gandhi. People are sharing their anger on Twitter using #RIPHumanity which is also trending across the nation. Not only common people leaders and celebrities also showcasing condemning this through social media.
Bollywood actor Sonali Bendre also expressed her grief. She took Twitter to condemn and mentioned the incident as terrible news. Bendre ended with the question 'Where is Humanity'? Here is Bendre's tweet -

BJP leader CM Ramesh from Andra Pradesh shared an animated image to showcase the cruelty of the incident. "Dear #Elephant, my heart bleeds for you. As a human; I am sorry," he captioned the image.
Indeed this was one of the most horrifying acts against animals in recent time and people have a valid reason to showcase anger and raise their voice against animal cruelty. Maneka Gandhi is upset and angry with this incident and she considered that Mallapuram is hub of animal cruelty and incidents are rising because no action has been taken till the date.
"Mallapuram is known for its intense criminal activity especially with regards to animals. No action has ever been taken against a single poacher or wildlife killer so they keep doing it. I can only suggest that you call/email and ask for action," Gandhi Tweeted.
