Delhi Violence: Maninder Singh brandishing 2 'khandas' at Red Fort arrested

As per recent reports, Delhi Police special cell on Wednesday arrested Maninder Singh, who was seen waving swords at Redfort complex on Republic Day 2021. Two swords have been recovered from his house in Swaroop Naga linking him to the incident.

As per reports, a man in connection with Republic Day violence has been arrested by Delhi Police on Wednesday. Maninder Singh, wanted in connection with Red Fort violence was arrested from Pitam Pura by Delhi Police Special Cell. 

According to Delhi Police, 2 swords were recovered from his house in Swaroop Nagar. Visuals from Jan 26 revealed that Maninder Singh was brandishing 2 'khandas' at Red Fort endangering the lives of nearby people.

On 26 January, tens of thousands of farmers protesting agricultural reforms drove a convoy of tractors earlier than the allotted time to start the tractor rally into New Delhi. Some protesters reached central Delhi and resorted to vandalism and damage to public property. Some protestors reached the Red Fort and hoisted Nishan Sahib (Sikh religious flag) and farmer union flags on the mast on the rampart of the Red Fort.
