Actor Deep Sidhu has again come under criticism for defending the religious flag hoisting at Red Fort which took place on Republic Day 2021. This time Kisan Leader Sangram Singh Pander has accused Deep Sidhu of giving farmer's protest a religious outlook and plotting a diversion from the core issue.
Deep Sidhu in his Facebook Live has defended the incidents that took place on the 72nd Republic Day. Defending the hoisting of the religious flag he said, "To symbolically register our protest against the new farm legislation, we put up 'Nishan Sahib' and a farmer flag and also raised a slogan of Kisan Mazdoor Ekta.

Sangram Singh Pander said that farmers did not have any plan to hoist a flag at Red Fort and neither they wanted to raise any religious sentiments, he also appealed to the police to launch an investigation against Deep Sidhu For the information of the readers, Deep Sidhu is a Punjabi actor and a social worker who has been previously accused of maintaining links with Khalistani Separatists.
