Community transmission of COVID-19 has started and on in many parts of India saying experts, News Agency PTI tweeted on Saturday. According to report tweeted from official social media handle of News Agency, Covid19 community transmission is on in many parts of India and ICMR survey on this is not reflective of current reality according to Experts. However no city or specific state was mentioned in the official social media message.
As PTI said, according to experts in different parts of country community transmission of Coronavirus is on.
However in its previous reports Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has had denied of such reports of community transmission. Earlier ICMR reiterated that no community spread in India has been recorded. The figure that was shared with the media stated that data from across 83 districts in 21 states. About 26400 people in 28,595 households were tested for this study. The survey found that the fatality rate was very low at 0.08%, ICRM official said a days ago.

Among the experts former AIIMS director Dr M C Mishra said there is no doubt that there has been community transmission in several parts of the country.
Renowned lung surgeon Dr Arvind Kumar said that even if the ICMR argument is accepted, it cannot be denied that community transmission is happening in places like Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
"India is a vast country and every state is experiencing the virus differently and peaking at different times,” said Kumar, who works at Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
