COVID-19 Third Wave India: Country Witnesses 24% Surge In Daily Infections, Threat Of Potential Third Wave Looms

Threat of a potential third wave of coronavirus in India has increased, all thanks to the Kerala model of handling COVID-19. COVID-19 third wave in India can cause serious trouble for the people as only 10% percent population has been fully vaccinated.

COVID-19 Third Wave India: There has been 23 percent increase in new COVID-19 cases in India in 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, 46,164 fresh infections were reported. The number of active cases in India currently stand at 3,33,725 and the coronavirus recovery rate is 97.63%. In the last 24 hours, 34,159 patients have recuperated from the infection.

As of now, total recuperation count has reached 3,17,88,440 . The weekly COVID-19 positivity rate is 2.02%, which is down from 3 percent in the last couple of months. Nationwide postivity rate remains below 3 percent at  2.58%, for the past one month. Seeing the currently a possiblity of COVID-19 third wave in India has increased drastically. 

As for the coronavirus vaccination drive, so far, more than 58.9 Crore people have been inoculated with the first jab & 13.2 crore people have been fully vaccinated. The government has planned to fully vaccinate almost half of country's population by December 2021.
