COVID-19 India: Cases Went Down In Maharashtra And Other States, However Death Rate Increased

In Maharashtra where 549 deaths occurred a day earlier, 793 lives were reported in the last 24 hours. That is, the number of deaths has increased by 44 percent in one day.

COVID-19 cases in India are increasing rapidly. However, in Maharashtra, the pace of getting new cases has come down in the last few days. In the last two days, there have been around 40-40 thousand cases in the state.

However, In Maharashtra where 549 deaths occurred a day earlier, 793 lives were reported in the last 24 hours. That is, the number of deaths has increased by 44 percent in one day. On the other hand, the pace of new coronavirus cases has come down in Mumbai too, but the city has lost more than 800 people in 11 days of May.

On the other hand, the number of patients recovering from corona for the second consecutive day was more. In the last 24 hours, where 3 lakh 48 thousand 421 new cases of the corona were found, 3 lakh 55 thousand patients were cured during this period.

With this, the number of active patients has now come down to 37 lakhs. On the other hand, there is still no significant decline in the number of deaths in a single day. A total of 2.54 lakh people have lost their lives in the country with 4205 deaths in the last 24 hours. 

The number of people recovering in comparison to new cases has increased in the last two days, though the condition has not yet come under control. Especially in 13 states, more than 1 lakh patients of Corona are still under treatment, due to which there is a tremendous burden on health systems.

Not only this, there are between 50 thousand and one lakh active cases in six other states. Presently, more than 37 lakh corona-affected patients are being treated throughout the country.
