According to the Union Health Ministry, 402 people died in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 4,85,752. The percentage of people who are optimistic has risen from 14.7 percent to 16.66 percent. In the last 24 hours, 1,22,684 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of active cases to 14,17,820. Omicron has now been confirmed in 6,041 people.
On Friday, Mumbai recorded 11,317 Covid-19 cases, with the positivity rate dropping to 20% from 21.73 percent the day before. On Friday, the city administered 54,924 coronavirus tests.
