Telangana CM & TRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao (in file photo) has extended TRS’ total support to Bharat bandh called on December 8 by farmers. He said that the TRS rank & file would participate actively in the proposed bandh, confirmed the Chief Minister's Office, Telangana. The announcement comes hours after Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD), and Trinamool Congress came in favour of farmers protesting in Delhi.

Speaking with the media personnel, Members of Legislative Council K Kavitha, says- "We had opposed the Bills in Parliament, we continue to do so. MSP hasn't been assured in any of these Bills. Also, if mandi structure is dismantled there's no alternative structure in this country, so farmer is insecure".

Farmers are protesting the three farm laws, passed by the Modi government, in the month of September. The laws include Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
