Although the entire nation is celebrating Parakram Diwas on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has again made the headlines after she refused to speak on Netaji's birth anniversary at Victoria Memorial.

"I think Govt's program should have dignity. This is not a political program....It doesn't suit you to insult someone after inviting them. As a protest, I won't speak anything" says Mamta Banerjee. This statement came right after she was invited to speak on stage as the public started chanting "Jai Shree Ram" slogans. PM Modi was also present while the incident took place.

Mamta Banerjee's reaction can also be subjected to the fact that West Bengal assembly elections are also on the cards and recently, BIP leaders have started claiming that this election will mark the end of Mamta-led TMC' s dominance in West Bengal.
