As per the report, 200 people have been admitted to the hospital. Ambulances, fire engines, and policemen have reached the chemical plant, officials said. Residents near the chemical gas plant of LG Polymers India Pvt Ltd in the district's village RR Venkatapuram reported of burning sensation in their eyes and difficulty in breathing, officials said. They were immediately taken to hospital, they said.

A dangerous toxic gas leak is said to have occurred from the LG Polymer Company located at RR Venkatapuram. Due to this, the areas of up to three kilometers around the company are affected. The chemical gas has seeped into the LG polymer industry in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Three people, including a child, died in this accident, while the condition of many is said to be critical. There is an atmosphere of chaos after the incident in the village of RR Venkatapuram on Thursday morning. The local administration and the navy have evacuated five villages near the company.

Visakhapatnam LG Polymers industry gas leakage

The District Health and Medicine Officer (DMHO) said three people, including a child, died from gas leaks at the company. People are rushed to the hospital after complaining of eye irritation and shortness of breath. Police, firefighters, ambulances have arrived at the scene.

The reasons for the gas leak are not yet known. Visakhapatnam V district collector Vinay Chand is also present on the occasion. He said that some people have difficulty breathing, they are being given oxygen.
