PM Narendra Modi has announced to extend the lockdown due to spreading the coronavirus till 3 May. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) postpones, as Lockdown extended till 3rd May. Earlier BCCI postponed The IPl to 15 April, because PM Modi has announced Lockdown for 21 days till 14 April. But due to the condition of India, the biggest decision has to taken by the central government.
BCCI said that there is no possibility to organize the IPL and tournament. The tournament is also canceled hence IPL postponed for next month. BCCI said to contribute all your efforts to make it successful. Coronavirus also affected other big sports and game-like Wimbledon and the Olympics Games. The biggest question is raised that how can IPL be organized in this critical situation.
As the report, more than 10,000 people in India have been infected due to coronavirus and 339 people have been died due to coronavirus epidemic outbreak.
Recently, Sourav Ganguly who is the Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) explained in a statement that after observation of the current situation, it can not be imagined to organized the IPL. IPL 2020 postponed further as the Indian government extends COVID-19 lockdown to May 3 due to see the condition of the Indians.
Most of the people were waiting desperately for this IPL but one time it was postponed till April 15, So people were waiting for 15 April. But now, to see the condition of India for 21 days, the Central Government has extended it 3 may. Hence, IPL again postponed for 3rd May.
