There is just one day till the release of Thor: Love And Thunder, but there are a few interesting elements that have already been disclosed. Thanks to the reviewers, various Thor: Love & Thunder secrets and significant elements have been exposed ahead of the highly anticipated Taiki Waititi sequel's official release. Thor Love And Thunder story, cameos, spoilers, In-credits, timeline, & more details about the film have been given here.
Thor Love And Thunder Story: After receiving a distress signal from Sif, Thor departs from the Guardians of the Galaxy. Upon arrival, a battered Sif informs Thor of Gorr, a monster armed with the god-killing weapon, the Necrosword, who seeks the extinction of all gods in retaliation for ignoring his family's murder, and who's next target is New Asgard.
Thor's ex-girlfriend, Dr. Jane Foster, arrives in New Asgard hoping to receive cancer treatment. When Gorr attacks New Asgard, Thor's old hammer Mjolnir reforges and joins with Foster, feeling her worthiness and bestowing Thor's abilities on her. Thor arrives in New Asgard and is taken aback to discover Foster holding Mjolnir.
Thor Love & Thunder Timeline: Taika Waititi's timing for Thor: Love and Thunder, which takes place four years after Avengers: Endgame, must be incorrect, as 2027 is too far out of this window. It's difficult to say where Thor: Love and Thunder falls in this timeline because the earlier end makes sense because Thor leaves to learn about the Infinity Stones at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, but this would mean he had only been traveling with the Guardians of the Galaxy for about six months and his physical turnaround would appear unhealthy.
While there is no mention of the other ongoing MCU Phase 4 events in Thor: Love and Thunder, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye were both set in 2024, and Moon Knight and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness were both set in 2025, so Thor's adventures seem unlikely to massively predate those. Thor: Love and Thunder is most likely set in 2025 or the first half of 2026, barely two or three years after Avengers: Endgame.
Though reviewers did their best not to reveal any Thor: Love & Thunder cameos, some did, deliberately or unwittingly, suggest larger celebrities who would feature in the future Marvel film. The review by the Rolling Stones expressly cites 'gratuitous glorified cameos,' which appears to be a reference to the Guardians of the Galaxy. Furthermore, additional assessments have indicated that Thor 4 will contain some surprise guests.
The Washington Post article alludes to a "band of performers staging a movie inside a play within a movie," which sounds like a sequel to Thor: Ragnarok's frequently discussed play starring Matt Damon as Loki. Meanwhile, AP says that Chris Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataky, and one of his sons will make cameo appearances in Thor: Love and Thunder, along with 'a rather renowned comedienne replicating Cate Blanchett's Ragnarok part.'
