This decision may affect Job aspirants from Villages in Haryana, says Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi

After the Haryana State Government’s decision to extend eligibility criteria from Class 10th to 12th for the posts of Stenographers and Steno Typists in State Government jobs, Congress MLA asks to withdraw the decision. Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi in his statement on Tuesday hit at state Government for unanimously taking the decision to extend minimum qualification for said Group C posts. “With this decision jobs aspirants from Villages of Haryana will face discrimination”, said Congress CWC member and MLA Bishnoi.

In its recent move BJP-JJP led Haryana Govt brought resolution during cabinet meeting to extend minimum qualification for Steno-typist and Stenographer posts in Haryana State Government Departments. After implementation of recent move, in Haryana state Government jobs minimum educational qualification for Stnographer, Steno Typist and Clerk posts for new openings and promotion based will be 10+2. Earlier the minimum qualification for said posts was Matriculation.

On Tuesday, Bishnoi said that the State Government’s decision of amending the rules for recruitment and promotion in state govt jobs is direct violation and will harm aspirants from villages. He further added that this decision will curse dreams of about 20 lakh students from State.

Questioning the Chief Minister of Haryana, Sh Manohar Lal Khattar, Bishnoi asked whether the move to amend qualification would not be an injustice to the parents who have been unable to provide Higher Education to their children due to their compulsions and poverty. The state government’s action would affect the youth aspiring to become Clerks, Stenographers and Steno Typists in Haryana State departments. As even the tenth pass staff posted at the rank of restorer would be deprived of promotion to the post of Steno and Clerk.

Bishnoi further demanded the Haryana State Chief Minister to withdraw the decision immediately. The decision has been taken by State Government to increase minimum qualification for Class C Stenographer, Steno-Typist and Clerk posts.

Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi during interaction with media said that most of the aspiring students from rural areas will be affected by this decision. He further asked state government that how the qualification can be increased even after getting the job.
