Haryana Govt announces Summer Vacations in Schools till 31st May

Haryana on Wednesday announced summer vacations for schools from 22nd April to 31st May. The decision is taken in view of Covid-19 situation in the state, State Education Minister Kanwar Pal said.

Haryana government has announced summer vacation in all government and private schools from April 22 to May 31. Taking to his official twitter handle, the state Education Minister Kanwar Pal Singh informed about the decision that reads Summer Vacations till May 31. The decision is taken in response to the surge in Covid-19 cases in the state. 

Earlier, the state government had ordered the closure of all colleges and universities till April 30.

Haryana State Education Minister Kanwar Pal tweeted, “Summer vacation declared in schools in Haryana state. The holidays will be in the schools from April 22 to May 31. Along with the students the safety of teachers is also our responsibility”.

Summer vacations in Haryana state are declared in advance due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation. Not only children but teachers are also directed to not come to the schools in view of their safety.

Earlier the Haryana State Board (BSEH) had cancelled the board exams for Class 10th and postponed the exams for Class 12th board exams 2021. Exams for the Class 12 were scheduled to start from 20 April to 17 May.
