RRB NTPC CBT 1 Result Expected Before Diwali; 20 Times Candidates To Qualify For Next Stage

In order to check RRB NTPC result 2021, candidates have to login using registration number and date of birth to the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board. A total of 20 times the community-wise vacancies of posts the numberĀ of candidates to be shortlisted for CBT-2.

According to the exam experts, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to declare the RRB NTPC CBT-1 result 2021 before Diwali, November 04. The result will be declared online on the zonal websites of RRBs along with the leading newspapers. Once it is out, the candidates using their registration/roll numbers and date of birth can access their scorecard and eligibility for CBT-2. The examination was held in 7 phases from December 15, 2020, to July 31, 2021, in multiple shifts.

An exam analyst from the leading coaching institute 'Exampur' has stated that it is possible that the result of the Non-Technical Popular Categories stage-1 computer-based test could be declared around Diwali. "It would not be a surprise if the NTPC result is declared before Diwali," the exam analyst added. In addition to that, a leading exam portal 'Adda247' has also stated that the result may be declared by October end. However, the exact date of the NTPC result has not been specified by the Railway Recruitment Board. 

According to the RRB CEN 01/2021 official notification, while declaring the RRB NTPC result of stage 1 the number of candidates to be shortlisted shall be 20 times the community-wise vacancies of posts notified against the RRB as per their merit in 1st Stage CBT cum choice of posts. However, Railways reserve the right to increase/ decrease this limit in total or for any specific category as required to ensure the availability of adequate candidates for all the notified posts.

It should be noted that the 2nd stage CBT will take place for each of the 7th CPC Level i.e. Level 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 with graded difficulty level. All posts falling within the same level of the 7th CPC shall have a common stage CBT-2.

Shortlisting of candidates for the 2nd stage CBT shall be based on the normalized marks obtained by them in 1st stage CBT and the options for various posts exercised by them keeping in view the educational qualification of the candidates - 10+2 or Graduate.

The second stage CBT will carry a total of 120 questions each of 1 mark. Of the total, 50 questions will be asked from General Awareness, 35 from Mathematics, and 35 from General Intelligence & Reasoning. The candidates have to attempt all the examinations in a time duration of 90 minutes, however, 120 minutes will be given to the eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by a scribe. In CBT 2, there will be negative marking and a 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
