CBSE releases clarification on result, Class X & XII results not on 11 & 13 July

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday clarified the official stance on class 10 & class 12 board examinations result. CBSE refuting the claims of 11 and 13 July as result dates for Class 10th and 12th, says board has not yet described the result dates. The latest clarification came in response to a viral letter in which CBSE result was claimed to be declared on 11 and 13 July 2020 for Secondary & Sr Secondary exams. CBSE declared the viral letter as fake & asked students to not believe on rumours.

A notice went viral on social media with several edits claiming CBSE results 2020. Notice claiming result dates for Central Board of Secondary Education 10th and 12th exams. CBSE through its social media handle clarified “it has come to the notice of the board that there is fake message is being circulated with regard to the declaration of Class X and XII board results 2020”.

Board further added that CBSE Board has not yet announced the result dates. Board advised public and students specifically to await the announcement on CBSE official website cbse.nic.in or social media account of Board. Earlier CBSE officials claimed that board is expected to declare the results of Board examinations 2020 by July 15. The decision came at a time when CBSE board consulting the HRD Ministry decided to scrap the remaining board examinations 2020.

Board had proposed the Class 10th & 12th remaining examinations starting from July 1, 2020. The decision was reversed after reviewing the situation of Covid19 in several states and Union Territories. Board held the Secondary (Class X) and Senior Secondary (Class XII) board examinations 2020 in the month of March 2020. The schedule was hit of Corona virus pandemic, which resulted postponement of several papers.
