West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) started online application registration for WBJEE 2022 today, December 24. Eligible candidates eyeing for B.Tech, B.E, B.Pharmacy, etc, admissions into West Bengal colleges for the academic session 2022-23 can now apply for the common entrance test. WBJEE 2022 online application form can be submitted till January 10, 2022, up to 06:00 pm. Tentatively the joint-entrance examination will be held on April 23, 2022 (Saturday).
To be eligible for WBJEE 2022 application, the applicant must e a citizen of India or OCI. Candidate must have passed or must be appearing in 2022 in class 12 (10+2) system-only examinations. The age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years as on December 31, 2022. There is no upper age limit in appearing in the examination.
It may be noted that the general criteria for admission into Engineering or Technology courses, the candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, and Computer Science, etc.
Candidates are asked to go through the Information Bulletin carefully before starting filling in the online application. Here below is the step-by-step process to fill the WBJEE 2022 online application.
Step 1. Visit the website wbjeeb.nic.in or follow the direct link.
Step 2. Click on the 'WBJEE' link.
Step 3. Scroll down the page and click on 'Apply for WBJEE 2022 (Last date: 10.01.2022 18:00 hurs IST)'.
Step 4. Click on New Candidate Registration, click on I agree, and fill in personal details and contact details.
Step 5. Next, enter your academic details and upload your photograph, signature & other documents.
Step 6. Preview your details in the application form before payment of the application fee.
Step 7. Submit and take a printout of the application form.
While submitting the application form, candidates have to pay an examination fee of Rs 500 (for general candidates) and Rs 400 for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B category candidates.
WBJEEB will conduct an OMR-based common-entrance examination or WBJEE 2022 for admission to academic session 2022-23 into Undergraduate Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture of different Universities, Colleges as well as self-financing Engineering & Technological Institutes in West Bengal.
WBJEE 2022 will be held on December 23, 2022 (Saturday) for Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics & Chemistry). The exam is scheduled into two sessions 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with 2 hours duration. In the question paper 50 questions will be based on Mathematics, 30 questions each on Physics and Chemistry subjects.
Candidates appearing in both papers - papers 1 and 2 are eligible for General Merit Rank (GMR) and Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR). Candidates appearing only in paper 2 are eligible only for PMR. While candidates appearing in paper 1 only are not eligible for any rank.
