UPSC IES ISS 2020 Exam Dates Out, Indian Economic Service/ Statistical Service Exam from 16-18 October

UPSC has released examination dates for IES / ISS 2020 for Descriptive papers. Commission on Saturday, Sept 19, 2020 released time table for Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2020 with schedule of Descriptive Papers from 16-18 October.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2020 time table as per the Indian Standard Time. UPSC has decided to conduct IES/ ISS descriptive papers from 16 Oct, 2020 onwards following the time table released at upsc.gov.in. Candidates who have successfully applied for the Indian Economic Service - Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2020 can check the exam dates/ time table.

A combined competitive examination for recruitment to Junior Time Scale of the Indian Statistical Service will be held by the Union Public Service Commission (UPS) commencing from 16th October, 2020 in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation in the Gazette of India. Union Public Service Commission released IES/ ISS 2020 examination shall be conducted according to the plan laid out in UPSC IES / ISS notification 2020 as follows-

Part I-Written examination carrying a maximum of 1000 marks in the subjects- General English 100 (3 hrs), General Studies 100 (3 hrs), Statistics-I (Objective) 200 (2 hrs), Statistics-II (Objective) 200 2 hrs, Statistics-III (Descriptive) 200 (3 hrs), Statistics-IV (Descriptive) 200 (3 hrs).

In IES/ ISS 2020 Examination Statistics I & II will be of Objective Type Questions (80 questions with maximum marks of 200 in each paper) to be attempted in 120 minutes. Statistics III and IV will be of Descriptive Type having Short Answer/ Small Problems Questions (50%) and Long Answer and Comprehension problem questions (50%). At least one Short Answer and One Long Answer Question from each section is compulsory. In Statistics-IV, equal number of questions i.e. 50% weightage from all the sub-sections below and candidates have to choose any two sub-sections and answer. Whereas, the papers on General English and General Studies will be of subjective type. Here is the detailed IES/ ISS 2020 Exam time table-

The examination will be held at the centres in citites including Ahmedabad, Jammu, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Bhopal, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Chennai, Patna, Cuttack, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Delhi, Shillong, Dispur, Shimla, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Jaipur.
