The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Siksha Parishad has announced results of Class 10th & 12th examinations 2020. In High School Examinations 83% students whereas in Class 12th 74% students have passed the Board exams. As the results have been announced Board also clarified over the allotment of Marksheet to students within 3 days and also set to begin process of Compartment & Improvement exams. The detailed guidelines for Scrutiny, Compartment & improvement exam forms will be updated at official website upmsp.edu.in, an official said.
Among the laid down guidelines for Compartment and Improvement of examinations, students will have to fill the online/ offline form after availability at the Board website upmsp.edu.in. There shall be charges for examination form, as per board guidelines & students in this context will be updated in advance.
UP Board Class 10th Compartment/ Improvement Form- UP Board conducted Class 10th / High School examinations in March 2020 in six subjects. Result of the same has been announced on June 27, 2020. In this context, the result of a student passing in five subjects and fail in one subject, will eventually results "Pass".
Whereas, in case a student wishes, he/she should also pass the examination of the failed subject by taking the examination again, he will have the option to opt for Improvement/ Compartment. With this, student will get a new marksheet cum Score card and with the passing percentage will also increase. But in case he/ she does not want to appear in particular paper examination, his or her result will remain “passed”.
If a candidate is unsuccessful in two of the six papers of high school (Class 10), the result shown in marksheet come out "Fail". Also, such a candidate will be a claimant of compartment examination. That is, if he wants to give the exam in one of the two subjects in which he/ she has failed, and if he passes, he will be declared pass, he will not have the option to take the all papers' examination again next year.
Guidelines for Class 12th Exams- The Uttar Pradesh board takes marks of five subjects in preparation of Class 12 Marksheet. In such scenario if a candidate has passed in four subjects and is fail in one subject, his result will show "Fail in one Paper". In this context if the student wishes to pass the particular paper, he/ she will have the option to apply for Compartment examination of the failed subject. He will not have to appear for the Inter examinations for all papers again next year.
In the same way, every High School and Intermediate Examinee has the chance to change the status of pass/ fail by applying for Compartment/ Improvement of marks and even by re-evaluating the answer book.
