Students launch campaign #PLEASEPOSTPONEJEE_NEET demanding postpone of JEE & NEET exams

On social media students have launched online campaign to postpone JEE and NEET examinations 2020, in view of current Covid19 situation. On August 11, students schedule an online mass campaign #PLEASEPOSTPONEJEE_NEET, on Tuesday. With taglines “Please Postpone JEE NEET” and “Students Ka Saath, Students Ka Vikaas”, aspirants of JEE Main and NEET Examination have launched twitter campaign asking Prime Minister Modi to take view of the scheduled NTA JEE Main and NTA NEET (UG) examinations scheduled in September 2020. 

The campaign with hashtag PLEASE POSTPONE JEE_NEET  mass tweet campaign to start in accordance with demand of postponing of said examinations. Students say that due to the Corona virus even Ministers and other dignitaries are being caught infected, than how students cannot. Increase in number of Covid-19 cases in country has led students to raise their voice against the fearfull exams, a student tweeted. 

Students citing the postpone of other examinations including CLAT/ICSE /NIOS /IIT /NLU /CA many other exams, ask concerned authorities to further postpone the NEET & JEE examinations 2020. The campaign is started in view of safety of students and a request to Prime Minster to take coginizance from the current situation, a student said.

A mass social media campaign is called by students, demanding the postpone of NEET and JEE Main examinations 2020. Twitter campaign is scheduled on Tuesday.

Students dissatisfied with the MHRD over shifting competitive examinations without knowing the reality at ground. A students expressed his dissatisfaction over multiple postpone in JEE Main & NEET Exams. Another user writes- Why are students unheard, please Understand the severity of the pandemic and act wisely. don't risk our lives, does the gov guarantee the safety of all students? we can't take this mental stress anymore. 

A user cites four reasons why NEET & JEE Exams should postpone. He says "Reasons for which we want to postpone JEE and NEET are 1) We can't give exams in such stressed condition wearing mask and gloves or PPE kits. 2) We don't want to be the carrier of virus for our family. 3) We don't trust on your SOP after Kcet failure.

Note- National Testing Agency has scheduled the JEE main 2020 examinations from 6- 13 September and NEET UG examination on 13 September, 2020. The revised examination dates were proposed earlier after reviewing the situation on Covid-19.
