RRB NTPC Exam Update: Board releases Notice in view of changed scenario due to Covid19

Railway Recruitment Board, Chennai releases a Corrigendum notice in view of changed scenario due to Covid19. Indian Railways, RRB Board is in process to shortlist the Exam Conducting Agency (ECA) for NTPC online computer based exam, is also speculating over the possible examination schedule & ensuring the safety of students at examination hall. According to reports RRB has planned to conduct Online CBT 1 examination by the end of year and seeking suggestions for safe conduct of Online Examination for about 1.26 Crores applicants.  

In Corrigendum No 6 of RRB CEN 1/2019 NTPC Exam RRB Chennai states that “in view of the changed scenario due to COVID-19, the exams are likely to be held by observing stipulated guidelines related to COVID like social distancing, sanitization of exam venues, biometric/ frisking etc. Hence prospective bidders are further allowed to submit any additional/revised queries related to the above tender by email to [email protected] by 28.06.2020”.

According to Indian Railways, sources RRB Board prioritizing the safety of students at examination centres would release important instructions for the safety of students from Corona Virus. For conducting Online Computer Based Exam for CEN 1/2019 Non-Technical Popular Category Recruitment Board is brainstorming over the possible risk of Coronavirus infection. Board is looking over all options for the safe conduct of NTPC Online Computer Based exam & in contact with other institutions conducting Online examination amid pandemic.  

For RRB NTPC Exam a total of 1.26 cr applications have been received for a total of 35,208 posts vacant in RRBs & Railway Units.

The recent Corrigendum notice dated 22 June 2020 states that RRB Chennai Board is going ahead with the CEN 1/2019 NTPC recruitment process & likely to notify over the examination dates. In corrigendum notice RRB Chennai decides to hold the Pre-Bid Conference ONLINE through Video Conferencing.

For the ECA Bid- The prospective bidders are required to send the details of the authorized representative i.e. Name of the person, Name of the Organization, authorization letter, email id, mobile number etc. through email to [email protected] so that the necessary link can be sent to attend the meeting through Video Conferencing, if required.
