Indian Railways is working on effective strategy to conduct last year’s pending RRB NTPC Examination (CBT 1). After the relieve in lockdown norms, Railway Recruitment Board Chennai has fasten ECA selection process & working on a new strategy through which Online Computer Based Test for more than 1.25 crore applicants can be held. RRB official also answers on the cause behind delay in NTPC CEN 1/2019 first state examination, which is being delayed since September 2019. According to Board Chairman, RRB Chennai will conduct Centralized Employment Notification 1/2019 Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Online CBT 1 examination shortly as ECA selection is underway. Board signals that selection of Examination Conducting Agency (ECA) has caused several delay in NTPC recruitment process.
The Indian Railways, RRB Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav intimated in his recent interaction with media personnel that RRB Board has resumed its services and marking of examination centers is underway.
Indian Railways on RRB NTPC recruitment says that the process of conducting the examination has been ramped-up. Railway RRB Chennai Board is working on an effective strategy to conduct the examination of 1.25 Crore applicants who applied last year for CEN 1/2019 NTPC 35,208 vacancies. Board Chairman says that a total of 1,26,30,885 (more than 1.25 crore) applications have been received for RRB NTPC recruitment for various Graduate and Intermediate level Non-Technical posts in Indian Railways. “On 35,208 vacancies of NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Category) released last year, an effective strategy is being formed for CBT 1 examination”, he said during interaction.
Cause behind delay in NTPC Exam
It has been assured that Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Chennai was at an advanced stage before the coronavirus pandemic, but the process of ECA selection was interrupted after the outbreak. The delay in selection of Examination Conducting Agency (ECA) and confusion over handing over Railway Exams to National level Agency and formation of IRMS (Indian Railway Management System) for posts in Indian Railways.
Amid all hindrances now Indian Railways is going to accelerate the recruitment process as situation permits. Railways said that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, new types of challenges have been encountered in prior to examinations.
Social Distancing during Railway Exams-
As per Indian Railways new guidelines the candidates will have to reach the examination center wearing masks. The examination center will be sanitized after every examination shift. In order to follow the social-distancing the number of examinees at one exam center will be limited. RRB Chairman has also said that RRB informs candidates through its official website i.e indianrailways.gov.in, email or SMS. Candidates are appealed not to be misled by rumors circulating on social media over NTPC exam.
Last year in February-March Indian Railways released the CEN 1/2019 NTPC and Group D recruitments advertisements. Under NTPC about 35000 vacancies and under Group D about 1.03 lakh vacancies released. While about 1.25 crore applications have come for NTPC, more than 1.15 crore applications received for Group D recruitment. As per initial schedule formed by Indian Railways RRB NTPC CBT 1 exams were to be held between June and September 2019 and RRC Group D exams were to be held in between September- October 2019, which postponed.
Intimation on RRB NTPC Exam City & Admit Card-
RRB Board is also expected to intimate officially on NTPC Examination dates with detailed schedule through official websites of RRB Boards. Likely 15 days before NTPC CBT 1 examination Exam City will be uploaded at website. Whereas prior to 5 days of exam, hall tickets will be shall intimated at Online Registration portal. Applicants using the Registration ID, Password will get generate RRB NTPC admit cards. There shall be option provided for "forget password" and opting the same students will be able to retrieve password.
