Railway changes exam structure, now LDCE to carry 100% optional questions

Indian Railways has notified to change the examination structure for Group C & D posts. In its recent press release, Indian Railways adopted new pattern & revised structure for LDCE examination being conducted for Group C & D posts. All questions in the written examination for LDCE will be of option type, the press notice reads. The new pattern will be implemented shortly, as orders have been sent to all seventeen zonals and Railway production units. Now after implementing the new structure, credibility of score would not be questioned, notice reads. 

Indian Railways to bring transparency during promotion of employees, has now decided to opt hundred percent optional questions in the Group C & D papers. The new structure would replace recent one through which employees gets promoted on the descriptive and compulsorily papers. Concerned Department’s PHOD used to set the Railways LDCE examination.

  • Now Limited Departmental examination 2020 will carry Optional questions.
  • All Questions in Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for Group C & D posts, will be of Optional in nature.
  • General Manager will appoint Answer Sheet Checking Officer.

Railway Exam New Structure:

For promotion of Indian Railways’ employees the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) is being conducted. Now to remove discrepancies in promotion of Group C and D employees, Indian Railways has written to all zonals and production units to adopt new exam pattern in which all questions to be asked optional type. According to newly released circular, GM will appoint the Officer to check LDCE exam Answer sheets. Officer would be a member of the Committee appointed by GM.

Railway Recruitment Board has issued the orders on July 20, specifying the changes in LDCE Departmental examination structure. The details in this regard should be checked from official website of the Indian Railways i.e
