NEET JEE Main Exam Update: NTA directed to submit report by Tomorrow, HRD Minister

Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyan has said National Testing Agency (NTA) is directed to submit report on NEET and JEE Main exam by tomorrow. On Thursday Union Minister tweeted that on behalf of all the parents and students appearing in the JEE Main and NEET exams NTA and experts are advised to submit recommendations to HRD Ministery. "I have been constantly requesting to take decision on NEET and JEE Main examination. In view of this, the National Testing Agency and other experts should form a committee and consider it with a decision by tomorrow", said Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. It is now expected that decision on NTA JEE Main and NEET UG are likely to be out shortly.

Looking at circumstances & requests received from students & parents appearing for JEE & NEET exams, a committee consisting of National Testing Agency & other experts advised to review situation & submit its recommendations to HRD Ministry latest by tomorrow, said Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. Earlier HRD Minister had said that examination of NEET and JEE Main would be conducted on time. But in view of current situation due to Covid19, MHRD has received suggestions from parents and students to re-consider the decision on holding NEET UG and JEE Main exams in July 2020.

So far, the National Eligibility Entrance Test (UG) and Joint Entrance Examination for Engineering Main (JEE Main) are scheduled in July 2020. The said Medical and Engineering Competitive examinations have been postponed from April 2020.
