JEE Main 2020, NEET 2020 Exam: Final decision regarding postponement to be announced soon

JEE Main 2020, NEET 2020 Exam: The HRD Ministry and the higher education examination conducting authority, National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to announce the final decision regarding the postponement of the national level entrance examinations - JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 today, as per reports in leading websites. According to reports, a case has been going on in the Supreme Court regarding the pending CBSE Board Exams 2020. And the decision on the pending examinations of CBSE has been adjourned till Thursday. As per sources, the decision on conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET and Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Mains would also be given by the ministry in conjunction with the decision of CBSE exams.

Reconsideration of JEE Main and NEET 2020 comes after students as well as parents of CBSE candidates raise concerns regarding the risk of Coronavirus exposure to the students who would be appearing for the examinations at various centres. As per the earlier schedule released by NTA, JEE (Main) is supposed to be conducted from July 18th to 23rd while NEET-UG is scheduled to be held on July 26th, 2020.

Reportedly, HRD Ministry, NTA and CBSE officials have held multiple meetings for discussing the strategies on conducting board examinations, competitive, and entrance examinations due to the unavoidable ongoing pandemic that has hit the world. Moreover, Apex Court's verdict on the remaining or pending Board exams will have a massive impact on the other competitive examinations. Hence HRD Ministry or NTA is likely to announce their final decision on pending NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020 Exams only after the Supreme gives its verdict today.
