JEE Main 2021: Four attempts, Exam every month from February to May 2021, says Education Minister

National Testing Agency would be conducting the JEE (Main) 2021 exam from February to May 2021 for four months, says Education Minister. For the ranking of candidates the best performance will be considered, Minister adds.

JEE Main 2021 to be conducted four times starting from Februrary. According to the Union Minister of Education, Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal, in order to give flexibility to the candidates, the computer based test (JEE Main) will be conducted every month From Februrary to May 2021 and candidates can appear in any or all of the exams.

NTA to give candidates option to appear one/ two/ three/ four times in JEE Main 2021 competitive exam. For the ranking of candidates, his/ her best performance will be considered, Minister said.

The minister also told that the syllabus for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main), 2021 will remain same as the previous year and a proposal is under examination where students will be given choice to Answer 75 questions (25 each from PCM) out of total 90 questions.

There were total 90 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, in JEE Main 2020, candidates had to be answered 75 questions (25 each from the subject), Minister said.
