Haryana Government is preparing to conduct Common Test for all Group C posts in state as similar to HTET pattern. According to Haryana Government officials, the common test after implementation will be organized once in a year, for all Haryana state Group C government jobs. Reckoning the benefits of proposed Test as similar to Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET), Haryana Government is set to adopt the proposal to conduct Common Test initially for 40 state government departments.
Earlier last week the Chief Secretary wrote a letter to all state departments, Administrations, Board and Divisional Commissioners, on introduction of Common Test for all Group C posts. The proposal was accepted and in the same row a meeting is called on July 6, over the structure, syllabus and validity period of Common Test.
Under the HTET style Common Test for Group C posts, students will have to prepare once for the Examination and qualifying the exam, will be eligible to apply for Group C posts, whenever vacancies release. Based on report, initially the Common test is adopted for 40 state departments, later inclusion of others can be made. All Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) and Public Service Commission released Group C vacancies will be covered under the Common test.
Eligibility of Common Test- The criteria of eligibility will be defined in meeting scheduled on Monday. It is being presumed that candidates possessing 10+2/ Intermediate qualification shall be eligible to apply for Group C Common Test.
Application & Selection- Applicants who used to apply for different advertisements for Group C posts in Haryana, after Group C posts Common test will only need to apply once in a year for the test. As similar to HTET, applicants qualifying the test will be provided opportunity to apply for Group c posts according to their choices. On Cut off list, Merit list will be prepared by the Commission & filling counselling form will ensure selection for post.
Meeting on July 6- For the rules and regulations in the Common Test, Haryana Government has called meeting on July 6, 2020. The detailed format of Common Test, Syllabus and validity of test etc will be discussed in the meeting.
