Gujarat Government has postponed the Class 10 and 12 Gujarat board examinations 2021. The decision to postpone the board exams is taken in view of the current situation inflicted by the COVID-19 pandemic across the state. Taking a major step board has promoted the students of non-board standards i.e Class 1-9 & 11.

The board has said that the decision on conducting Gujarat board (GBSHSE) class 10 & 12 exams will be taken after reviewing the situation on May 15.

"In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, Gujarat Govt decides to postpone Class 10 & 12 board examinations, scheduled to be held between May 10 to 25, and mass promotion for students of std 1 to 9 & 11. The new dates will be announced after reviewing the coronavirus situation on May 15", CMO Gujarat tweeted on Thursday.

The decision is taken hours after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled the Class X board exams 2021 and postponed the May 2021 scheduled Class XII exams after a high-level meeting was chaired by PM Modi and Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal.
